Step-by-Step Instruction: How to Register for Gosuslugi / ruID

If you are a citizen of a visa-free country, starting June 30, 2025, you must use the ruID app for entry. To register:

For ruID App:
Download the App: Install the «Gosuslugi ruID» app on your smartphone. It is available on App Store, Google Play, RuStore, and AppGallery.

Choose Your Language: Upon opening the app, select your preferred language: English, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, etc..

If you already have a Gosuslugi account, click «Login» and enter your credentials (phone number/email and password).

If you don’t have an account, you can register directly through the app by following the prompts.

Submit an Entry Application: After logging in, complete the application for entry into the Russian Federation. You must do this no later than 72 hours before your planned travel. After submission, you will receive a QR code, which you will need to present at the border.
